Reno, Nev.-The Reno Housing Authority (RHA) is proud to celebrate the modernization and preservation of 50 affordable housing units with a grand reopening ribbon cutting at John McGraw and Silver Sage Courts.
“We saw an opportunity to ensure these critically needed properties live well into the future,” RHA Executive Director Dr. Hilary Lopez said. “As our first completed large-scale preservation efforts, McGraw and Silver Sage Courts lead the way as RHA makes every effort to assure sustainable, quality affordable housing in our community.”
John McGraw Court was funded through the Nevada Housing Division’s Home Means Nevada Initiative and RHA Capital Funds. Silver Sage Court was funded through the Washoe County HOME Consortium and Nevada Housing Division’s Home Means Nevada Initiative.

John McGraw and Silver Sage Courts, built in 1995, underwent extensive renovation beginning in 2023. The two separate properties were taken down to the drywall to allow for preservation and modernization efforts starting with all mechanical and plumbing systems. In addition, all units are accessible, have new interiors and roofs, and meet energy efficiency standards. The properties’ outdoor enhancements include a refresh of the already par, like landscaping, a new patio pad with the addition of a pergola and an update to the shared clubhouse.
