RHA’s newest permanent supportive housing community will provide residents with stability,resources, and opportunities to thrive.
Reno, Nev.-The Reno Housing Authority (RHA) is proud to host funders, community leaders and partners for a groundbreaking at Hope Landing, a permanent supportive housing (PSH)development.
As owner/operator of the 15-unit development, RHA will partner with Volunteers of America to provide supportive services to residents who have experienced chronic homelessness. These on-site services include case management to ensure residents receive the resources and guidance to achieve long-term success. Hope Landing will be a community where residents can manage their health, recovery, or move towards other goals.
Hope Landing was designed using principles from trauma informed design and builds upon knowledge gained from Dick Scott Manor, RHA’s first PSH development.
“Hope Landing will provide a path for our most vulnerable community members, and countless more over time, to safe, secure, affordable housing and a stable foundation,” RHA’s Executive Director Hilary Lopez, Ph.D., said.
Hope Landing’s development was funded through Nevada Housing Division’s HOME-ARP, RHA’s Moving to Work fungibility, and deferred developer fees. The State of Nevada Supportive Housing Development Fund and the Washoe County HOME Consortium provided funding for supportive services.
