The Reno Housing Authority is pleased to announce it has been designated a Safe Place site by our community’s Safe Place agency, The Children’s Cabinet. As a partner, RHA is able to help youth in northern Nevada who are escaping unsafe living conditions or human trafficking.
RENO, Nev. — The Reno Housing Authority is pleased to announce it has been designated a Safe Place site by
our community’s Safe Place agency, The Children’s Cabinet.
As a partner, RHA is able to help youth in northern Nevada who are escaping unsafe living conditions or
human trafficking. The Safe Place logo is on display at the entrances of two RHA office buildings, five public
housing sites as well as inside each restroom, indicating to troubled youth that RHA is ready to provide help
and safety. Every RHA employee has been through training and is ready to assist should a troubled youth ask.

Other designated Safe Places in Washoe County include McDonald’s restaurants and RTC Washoe County bus
stops, busses and vans. Many retail stores, family businesses and non-profits are also included. With multiple
public housing complexes throughout Reno, Sparks and Stead, RHA is helping ensure even more locations
youth can access help.
Since 1985, The Children’s Cabinet’s mission has been to keep children safe and families together by providing services and resources that address unmet needs through a unique and effective cooperative effort between the private sector and public agencies in Nevada.
