We are no longer accepting applications for this program.
Every NSP2 home for sale includes a $5,000 cash grant to be used for closing costs and a $15,000 interest free forgivable loan. Applicants may also qualify for a WISH grant, which could provide up to an additional $15,000 forgivable loan. Applicants can also purchase a Mortgage Credit Certificate through the Home At Last MCC Program offered by Nevada Rural Housing Authority.
Each home has had extensive rehabilitation work performed and xeriscaped landscaping has been installed to reduce water usage. The homes are all energy efficient and well insulated. Each home will be sold at the lower of our cost or a current HUD-approved appraisal.
Waiting List Procedure
When an applicant for either a home purchase or lease to own property has been approved, they will be contacted via phone and mail using the information provided on their application. A list of approved applicants will be maintained based upon the date they were approved. If two or more are approved on the same day, they will be placed on the list based upon the date their application was submitted.
As new properties become available, applicants will be contacted in the order they appear on the list. It will then become their responsibility to decide whether they are interested in the home or not. Home purchase offers will be reviewed in the order they are received.
Homes for sale are available based on family size; four bedroom homes are available to families with two or more members. The following are the remaining homes which will be available under the NSP2 home sales program:
